Giants Victor Cruz showcased his trademark salsa at Sunday?s Puerto Rican Day Parade.

The wide receiver celebrated his heritage with thousands of revelers, riding in a float on Fifth Ave. ? and even stopped to dance with a female NYPD officer as fans screamed, ?Cruz!?

?I shook his hand, and I?ll always know I shook the hand that won a Super Bowl. He?s a champion, man, and I shook his hand,? said Michael Tapiase, 19, of Queens.

?My whole family is Puerto Rican, and we?re all proud. This parade gives us reason to scream and shout and be with everyone else that came out.

?Carlos Cordero, 38, of Flatbush, Brooklyn, watched the marchers with his wife and his 7-year-old daughter decked out in a Puerto Rican flag sundress.

?It?s great to see so much pride from such a little place,? Cordero said. ?Let?s hear it for Puerto Rico!?

Mayor Bloomberg joined in the celebration, donning a traditional Puerto Rican shirt to march at the parade?s head.

?It?s a guayabara. I have three or four in my closet. Each year I try to wear a different one,? he said. ?Today we are all a little bit Puerto Rican.?

Jackie Pineiro, 47, of the Bronx, screamed herself hoarse along the barricades. ?I?m going to have no voice,? said Pineiro, who brought her husband and two daughters. ?I want them to know who their people are.?
